The idea for West Gippsland Rail Towns Inc grew from local conversations about how hard it could be to find accurate, up-to-date information about events, services, and groups in the West Gippsland Rail Towns.
Community members, volunteers, and representatives from associated organisations recognised that a central online hub could make it easier to share information and support one another.
As the website concept took shape, it became clear that a formal structure was needed to manage content, partnerships, and responsibilities.
This led to the establishment of Garfield Community Website Inc, with a committee, governance framework, and clear roles so that the website could be maintained in a transparent and sustainable way.
Since the first idea was discussed, the website and organisation have grown steadily through the efforts of volunteers, partner groups, and supporters.
